Three technical principles

What "local-first" concretely means

  • Zero server of ours

    There is no backend at seo-master.ro receiving data about your sites. The app doesn't "phone home" with telemetry, audit data, or usage metrics. The only servers are for: your marketing page (this site), Pro/Studio license validation (quick monthly call), update downloads.

  • All data in Program Files

    Audited URLs · audit results · keywords · reports · API keys · settings — all in a local SQLite database in C:\Program Files\SEO Master PRO MAX\ (Windows) or equivalent on macOS/Linux at launch. You control backup, sync, deletion.

  • External calls only opt-in

    Nothing goes outside without you explicitly enabling it:

    • AI provider (Claude/GPT/etc.) — call only if you activate AI Co-pilot and put your key
    • Google Search Console / Bing Webmaster — call only if you connect with your OAuth
    • HTTP audit checks — direct call to your site (that's what any crawler does)
    • Update check — weekly call to seo-master.ro/api/version (you can disable)

After initial setup (download + license activation), yes. Local audit works without internet — the only things that need internet are: external API (GSC, Bing), AI provider, update check. The rest runs offline.
Copy the folder C:\\Program Files\\SEO Master PRO MAX\\data\\ — contains SQLite + encrypted keys + settings. Restore = reverse-copy. Detailed documentation in /en/docs.
Yes — on Pro/Studio with multiple slots. You copy the data folder manually or use local sync via shared folder (Dropbox, Syncthing, etc.). The app doesn't impose its own cloud — you pick the method.
